Free for iPhone and Android

Share exactly where you are, then meet without the back-and-forth.

I'm here turns your current location or a future meeting spot into a message your friends can open on a map.

Choosing a meeting date and time A shared location shown on the map

What it does

Made for the moment when "where are you?" slows everything down.

Send your current location

Tap Send on the Map screen. I'm here creates a share message with your current position and the name you set in Settings.

Open shared places on a map

When a friend sends an I'm here link, open it in the app to see their position as a green pin and your own position beside it.

Plan meeting spots

Long press the map, choose a date and time, and send the meeting place. Meeting spots appear as blue pins.

Keep useful history

People and Schedule screens keep received locations and meeting places so you can return to them quickly.

Why people keep it installed

Useful at stations, events, parks, parking lots, and unfamiliar neighborhoods.

Instead of explaining exits, landmarks, or moving targets in a chat thread, send a map-ready link. The other person can confirm the place, check the time, and head there with less friction.

How to use

Four simple workflows

First setup

Allow location access while using the app. On Android, if links do not open directly in I'm here, add app.kamkam.me under Open by default.

  2. Choose I'm here, then open Permissions.
  3. Allow Location while using the app.
  4. Open the app and set the name shown to friends from Settings.

Send where you are

Use this when someone needs to know your current place right now.

  1. Open the Map screen.
  2. Tap Send.
  3. Choose the message app or share destination.
  4. Your friend receives an I'm here link with your current location.

Receive a location

Use this when a friend sends you an I'm here message.

  1. Tap the link in the received message.
  2. Open it with I'm here.
  3. Close any ad screen if one appears.
  4. Check the green pin for the sender's name and time.

Send a meeting place

Use this when the place is not your current location, or when you want to set a meeting time.

  1. Long press the Map screen to drop a blue pin.
  2. Tap the pin and choose the date and time.
  3. Send the generated meeting message to your friend.
  4. Open Schedule later to review saved meeting places.
